Rachel Montalbano has been teaching piano, violin & theory/musicianship for over twenty years. With a Bachelor of Music Education from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, she has enjoyed teaching various 'methods' incorporating Orff, Kodály, Suzuki & Dalcroze theories. She is also familiar with the AMEB syllabus for each subject having prepared many successful candidates for their exams.

Her teaching philosophy is all about creating a positive environment and routine for each student to achieve their very best. She recognises the different motivations and learning styles of each student or class and creates individualised programs to suit. Music is not only an enjoyable pastime but a great tool for stress-relief, building self-confidence and opening up pathways in the brain that can aid learning in other subject areas.
